Profile and preferences

Your profile holds the settings that belong to you rather than to your tenant or your browser. They are saved to your account, so you get the same language, theme and notification choices on any machine you sign in from.

Every role. Open it from the user menu (your name, at the right of the console header) with Your profile, or search for it in the command palette.

The page has five sections, then a save button.

Your name and email, then tags for your tenant and your roles (for a platform admin, the single tag Platform admin). These are read-only: your name, email, tenant and roles come from your organization’s directory and are changed there. See Users and roles.

Three choices, each named in its own language:

Choice Notes
English
Français The whole console in French.
العربية The console turns to right-to-left: the rail, tables, menus and icons that point a direction are mirrored.

Names, identifiers and code stay left-to-right inside an Arabic page.

Until you choose a language, the console follows your browser’s language, falling back to English.

Four themes: White, Light gray, Dark gray and Black. Black is the default.

Display name (optional): the name the console calls you by, if the one from your directory is not the one you use. Leave it empty to use the name from your sign-in.

One switch per notification category: Account, Agents, Billing, Capacity, Deployments, System health, Ingestion, Platform and Security. Each is Delivered or Muted. Muting a category hides it from the bell and the unread count; nothing is deleted, and it stays readable on the notification history page. See Notifications for what each category carries.

Change your language or theme from the user menu

Section titled “Change your language or theme from the user menu”
  1. Select your name at the right of the console header.
  2. Under Theme or Language, pick one.

The change applies at once and is saved to your profile as you pick it; the menu says Saved to your profile. If the save fails, the change still applies in this browser until you sign in again.

Change your language, theme or display name on the profile page

Section titled “Change your language, theme or display name on the profile page”
  1. Open Your profile from the user menu.
  2. Pick a language under Your language, or a theme under Light or dark. The console changes at once, so you see what you are choosing.
  3. Type a Display name, if you want one.
  4. Select Save my preferences.

Language and theme apply when you pick them, but on this page they are only stored on your account when you select Save my preferences. If the save fails, the page says Could not save your preferences, with the reason, and nothing you entered is lost.

  1. Open Your profile.
  2. Under What reaches the bell, switch a category to Muted or Delivered.

Each switch is saved as you change it; it does not need Save my preferences.
